What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise and is similar to yoga but emphasizes your body’s core, muscular strength and endurance, the abdomen, inner and outer thigh, buttocks, obliques, lower back, and so on.
Pilates develops much of what exercisers need. It helps improve strength, stability, flexibility, muscular endurance and control, coordination, balance, and good posture. It is a form of exercise with a much lower chance of injury than most. It is important to understand that the discipline emphasizes correct form instead of going for the burn.
